Utah Giant Pumpkin Growers will sponsor a giant pumpkin weigh off at the Big Red Barn just south of Santaquin. The weigh off will be held on October 24th, 2009 with the winner being presented a grand prize with two runner-ups.
This great celebration will be in conjunction with “a pumpkin walk” held on the back lawn of the Red Barn. The pumpkin walk will host anyone who brings a carved, painted, or decorated pumpkin to the barn. The public will be asked to vote on the best decorated and most unique pumpkin presented. A panel of judges will also be on hand to judge the pumpkins. Prizes will be given for the best-decorated and most unique pumpkins.
It is at this wonderful time of harvest that South Ridge Farms’ Big Red Barn will also be hosting school tours, welcoming pre-school visits, dishing out the worlds greatest ice cream and offering the best most crispy apples on the planet.
